The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)

A non-profit research, development and demonstration organization for the energy industry, EPRI’s broad array of programs are supported by a membership representing over 90% of the electricity generated and delivered in the United States.  Through FirstEnergy’s commitment to bring its EPRI membership and industry relationship to the TBEIC Lab, TBEIC will have access to EPRI’s extensive technology, policy and economic analyses around emerging energy technologies.

Recognizing the TBEIC Lab’s unique value proposition for offering access to advanced energy companies early in the commercialization lifecycle, EPRI has agreed to provide referral of potential TBEIC Lab clients.  In addition, TBEIC’s Lab represents a potential bi-directional power/communications node within EPRI’s national power network which includes principal laboratory nodes in Palo Alto, CA, Charlotte, NC, Knoxville, TN and Lenox, MA.
